Spicy Peanut Sauce

This recipe is from Chrissy Teigen’s, “Cravings, Hungry for More,” cookbook (2018), with a few tweaks of my own.  The sauce was delicious with Beef Spring Rolls, but even better when I just dipped chunks of beef into the sauce and popped them in my mouth.  Having tried several different recipes for peanut sauce, I like this one because of the addition of lime zest and lime juice.  The acid gave the sauce a tart freshness that really put it over the top.


Peanut Sauce


    I made two tweaks to Chrissy's recipe. I used 1 teaspoon of Tabsaso sauce instead of mincing red chili peppers, and I used creamy instead of chunky peanut butter.

    Step 1

    Mix all ingredients in a small saucepan. Melt the peanut butter over low heat.

    Step 2

    Stir well. Pour into a glass measuring cup and cool for a few hours.
