It rained every single day I was in Ocho Rios. And it was wonderful. Although I would have loved to spend a week on a sunny beach, it was just as relaxing (perhaps more so) to spend it reading, writing, watching movies, hanging out on the verandah, getting spa treatments, and in general just relaxing and enjoying the scenery and the people (the old man next door kept losing his wife and the honeymooners on the beach squabbled because she couldn’t tolerate the bees). For once, I did not even leave the campus! It was a great trip and I can’t wait to return.
