Actually, it is not true that there is nothing new in my life. It’s just that I can’t talk about most of what goes on in my office (clients wouldn’t like it!) And I haven’t posted that many new recipes lately because I’ve been enjoying some of my tried-and-trusted dishes. I did make bao buns this Sunday but I’m not posting that recipe because I thought they were just a “tad” too yeasty… really, just a tad! They were fun to make though and they turned out pillowy, fluffy and really pretty! My greatest success recently was the Chicken Scarpariello based on the recipe I found at SipandFeast.com. That dish was delicious, and now I’m craving it so it might be on the menu again this weekend.
I do have some news about Dolly Parton, though. She is doing really well, even though she is still most comfortable in her crate, hunkered down. But she doesn’t seem quite as scared of everything, and on Sunday she went outside and enjoyed the sunshine for a few minutes. I love this picture of her in the grass. She was loving the sunshine and fresh air and just being a dog. A car drove by and she didn’t even have a meltdown! She is still wishing she were an only child, and Zelda & Josephine are still wishing she were merely a visitor but… they are all co-existing and there has been no fighting since my return from Jamaica. I think she knows she is home.
