I do not want to go home. Yet I know when I get home, I'll be glad to be there. Meanwhile, these are the images of my last day this year in Ochi. I had lunch at Passage to India downtown, then stumbled across a place called The Courthouse. Built over a hundred years ago, the bones of the old courthouse remain intact but the judge's bench is now a long mahogany coffee bar. Downstairs is a small art gallery showcasing art, sculpture, ceramics and woven items made by local artists and artisans. Owned by the most delightful mother and daughter team, this is a must stop for anyone who visits Ocho Rios. I found a piece of fun pop art painted by a young Jamaican artist and now that I think of it, I can't wait to get it home.
