Fausto’s is my neighborhood restaurant and bar. This place is essential to my mental health, quite frankly. Any time I go there, someone is at the door with a welcoming hug. The food is delicious Italian-American with really good red gravies, lemony piccatas and marsala sauces and pasta. My favorite meal would start with the eggplant sticks, move on to a crisp green salad, then indulge in the chicken sorrentino (pictured above). One of my friends will eat nothing there except the chicken limone, and I have heard customers rave about the lasagne and manicotti. A frequent special is the pasta with soft shell crab and if that is on the menu when you show up, I highly recommend it.

Let me just say that this restaurant is as much about the people and the way they treat you as the food. As a woman who frequently dines alone, this is a great place to belly up to the bar! Going here alone is easy. You won’t feel awkward, I promise. You can eat at the bar or one of the high tables next to the bar area. Have a cocktail or some wine and take your time. You’re among friends who will feed you some delicious food! What more can you ask for at the end of a hard day?
