I am addicted to this Hulu series. The story follows a young chef named Carmy who returns to Chicago to take over his brother’s restaurant. Like all good dramas, the character development is key. Here the characters are interesting, attractive and sympathetic. The acting is really, really good. The restaurant scenes, especially in Season Three, are fascinating, particularly if you love food and cooking. As the story develops and the food evolves, the plating becomes a BALLET, precise, perfect and nearly impossible. The music is evocative. And then there’s Jeremy Allen White. He’s so gorgeous to watch. The series won a lot of Emmys, not surprisingly. If you haven’t watched The Bear, start now.
