Julia Roberts, Ethan Hawke and Kevin Bacon. I would watch almost anything with that line up. This cautionary tale of an avoidable yet inevitable apocalypse is chilling and suspenseful. Roberts plays her prickly misanthropic character perfectly. This is a true horror movie about how the loss of infrastructure (i.e., rules) brings out the most basic instincts in otherwise civilized people. The sound and score of this movie was impressive, giving it a kind of extended Outer Limits feel. I highly recommend this movie. It drew me in and held my interest from beginning to end.
