Chateau Tour Saint Christophe 2019

How is it that my sister who doesn’t drink wine picks the absolute BEST bottles for me? This Saint Emilion Grand Cru wine was delicious. With a juicy rib-eye, it was big and bold and smooooth. Redolent of red and blue berries and subtle spice, it was incredibly easy to drink. It had a slightly heavier body than some of the sleek Bordeaux wines that I have had, which was perfect with steak and potatoes. The fruit was up-front in a good way and cut through the fat of the steak. I give this wine “five glugs!” I loved it.

Plump black cherry and damson fruits, a little upfront with the grilled oak right now that makes things a touch austere, but there is freshness running underneath and it will soften over the next few years.
