The 10 pictures nominated this year are:
1. Bugonia (Can’t get through it but I’m going to try again).
2. One Battle After Another (Really didn’t like).
3. Sentimental Value (Haven’t watched yet).
4.The Secret Agent (Haven’t watched yet).
5. Marty Supreme (Great acting, good movie, nothing likable about any of the characters except Endo).
6.Train Dreams (Great movie, relentlessly sad).
7. F1 (Fun movie, loved watching Brad Pitt, the sound of engines roaring was oddly exciting).
8. Sinners (Visually interesting, hated the movie).
9. Frankenstein (Loved the movie but I don’t think it will win Best Picture).
10.Hamnet (Haven’t watched it yet).
So, as of February 17th (Mardi Gras) I’ve watched some but not all of the nominated pictures. Is it just me or does this list seem sub-par? Oh, well, the awards show is on March 15, 2026 and I plan to watch it! LOVE the awards show!!! So far, I think Sinners has the best chance of winning even though I did not like the movie. We’ll see how my prediction holds up after I watch the rest of the movies on the list…
