This wine was full of red fruit and raspberry jam. It was silky and easy to drink. It was perfect with my Friday night filet that I topped with a red onion jam! It’s a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Price-wise, it’s a splurge (it’s in the $75 per bottle range). I noticed that on Wine.com this vintage is sold out, but Dorignac’s has plenty so I might go back and stock up! Here’s what the real critics say about this wine:
An attractive, immediately fruity wine, this also has good tannins. Enticing blackberry flavors give richness as well as freshness. This wine will develop quickly, so drink from 2023. — Roger Voss
James Suckling said: What a gorgeous and supple young wine with ultra-fine tannins and vivid acidity. Medium to full body and direct and driven tannins. Shows such beauty. Better in 2020 but already beautiful.
