I thought this wine was TERRIFIC. It went from chewy to silky, from chocolate to cherry, from a fruit bomb to a bouquet. This is the first wine that the Australian winery Penfold’s has made in Napa Valley and it is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Virginia Boone of Wine Enthusiast said: It is tightly structured yet supple, bursting in bright currant and strawberry flavors. Savory components of sage, dried herb and black pepper dot the palate alongside silky tannens and chocolate laced richness. A fresh touch of blook orange arises on the finish.” Yum. This might be a little pricey to call a ‘house wine,’ but I’m definitely going back for some more of this!
